Yella is a classical ballet and contemporary dancer and choreographer based in Madrid, Spain.

 

She started her classical ballet training at the age of 4 under the tutelage of Ms. Cherish Garcia, Mr. Jeffrey Espejo and Mrs. Pamela Asprer- Espejo of Academy One Music and Dance Center, where she was granted full scholarship. She has since branched out to different genres such as modern and contemporary dance.

Upon entering the Dance Program at the De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde, she was also granted a full scholarship under the School of Design and Arts. She has since been dancing in various productions such as Mulat: Ang Hindi Sinukuan sa Arayat, Gray Matter, and Home.

In March 2020, she staged her first production- Seconds and Minutes as director and choreographer.

Yella has also competed locally and internationally in ballet events, such as the Philippine Dance Cup and the Asian Grand Prix in Hong Kong
